The children of Milton J. Montgomery, Jr. would like to thank everyone for their kind thoughts and prayers. We will be having a private service for our beloved father.

Milton (“Mick”) James Henry Montgomery, Jr. was born in New Orleans in July 1933 to the proud parents of Milton J. Montgomery, Sr. and Henrietta Rasch Montgomery. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Noel and two sisters, Alice and Gail, and his first born son, Paul. He is loved and missed by his 6 children, Mary, Tara (Art), Ursula (Chuck), Paige, Neil and Lorraine (Rob) and his 9 grandchildren, Tony, Michael, Amy, Jeremy, Alex, Ashley, Stella, Layne and Max, and his 2 great-grandchildren. His heart stopped on January 9, 2025, but he was resuscitated and passed on to heaven the following day, January 10, 2025.

Mick attended St. Mathias Elementary School and graduated high school from Jesuit. He was awarded his Master’s Degree from Loyola University in New Orleans. He was the headmaster of Ridgewood Preparatory School, Inc. and taught there for over 60 years and became a “friend to all”. He was a friend to all indeed.

His children ask that in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to, or request a Mass Intention for their father, at the Saint Joseph Abbey in Benedict, LA, or St. Ann Church and National Shrine in Metairie, or St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Our father was a faithful supporter of the Catholic Relief Services and Thomas More Society; donations to those organizations in his name would also be greatly appreciated.
